Episode #3 (How to Find Clarity in the Mountains)

Today we are joined by Stan Rey- professional skier, member of the Salomon Freeride Team and co-owner of Blank Collective Films.

Stan grew up ski racing for the Whistler Mountain Ski Club and and as a teenager, made it onto the British Columbia Ski Team where he was a member for two years.

From there, Stan went on to spend three years on the Canadian National Ski-Cross Team where he won a Canadian National title and had a 4th place finish at the X-Games.

Stan then transitioned back to his love of freeskiing where he became a sponsored Salomon athlete co-founder of Blank Collective Films - an award winning film company focusing on extreme skiing.

Stan has "stared in" and directed numerous Blank Collective Films and YouTube "mini-series", and currently counts a personal best of "back flipping a 70 foot cliff" among many other adventures.

Stan and I talked about many things in this episode including finding clarity in the mountains, multiple career transitions and how fitness + psychology play into extreme sports.
